Course Description
Learn how an Integrated Design Process (IDP) can ensure greater project success. IDP is a collaborative design approach that is intended to optimize performance, cost, occupant comfort and resilience of a residential building. It involves engaging the builder and their team of designers, mechanical contractor and energy advisor at the conceptual design stage. IDP examines the needs and performance of a building throughout its life cycle; from design, construction through to operation, with the goal of ensuring that multiple objectives of the builder are met.

Andrew Oding
Andrew Oding is Vice President and Director of Building Science for Building Knowledge Canada Inc. With an extensive background as a builder, he brings real-life practicality to building science principles and their in-field applications. He is an HVAC designer and recognized Building Science trainer by the government of Canada-Office of Energy Efficiency.
Einar Halbig, BASc., CEA
Einar Halbig - Einar is a Principal at E3 Eco Group. Trained as a civil engineer and working as an Energy Advisor, he has evaluated over 2,000 existing homes and hundreds of new homes. Einar provides Building Science for New Homes training and Certified Energy Advisor training. He also serves as Chair of the CHBA BC Technical Advisory Committee.
Gilles Lesage
Gilles Lesage is President of Total Home Solutions, a NRCan registered Service Organization delivering the EnerGuide Rating System. Gilles is an Accredited Home Inspector and Registered Energy Advisor with Level 1 Thermal Imaging and HRAI ventilation certifications.

Mark Bernhardt is President of Bernhardt Construction. Mark is a Certified Energy Advisor and Passive House Consultant with experience in high-performance building projects.
